New Program To Play Big Role In Annual Steel Structure Demonstration

Building a structure on the METALCON show floor has been a key feature in past years and is used to demonstrate the latest materials and techniques to show visitors. Students and instructors from the first-ever Stud University program will build this year's Steel Structure Demo. Architects Jonathon Lawrence and Rick Penza are the designers. The 20' X 40' structure will be displayed on the show floor during exhibit hours, whit hourly demonstrations of the tools and techniques used by the Stud University participants. Following the show, the structure will be donated to the Spring Of Tampa Bay Inc., a domestic violence shelter that is a United Way agency.
