Level of indicators of parenchymatous organ functions and energy in clinical hypocalcemia in dairy cows [Polish]

The objective of the, studies was' to determine the efficiency of parenchymatous organs and energetic metabolism, in the course of clinical hypolealcaemia in dairy cows during the perinatal period. The studies were carried, out in 11999-2002 on, farms raising from a few head of cattle to several dozen dairy cows of black and white (BW) and Holstein-Friesian (HF) race and the crossbreeds of these races in the Lublin region. Clinical symptoms of-hypocalcaemia in 47 cows appeared from some hours after parturition to about a week later. The, control group consisted of 12 clinically healthy cows. The levels of total Ca, WKT, total bilirubin, urea as well as AST, ALT, AP in blood were determined.
