Lead prices were under pressure last week. They attempted to rebound onThursday, when they ran up to $1,695/tonne, but the gains were short-lived,leading to a collapse later on the same day which continued on Friday to retestthe multi-year lows set in late August at $1,618.50/tonne. The low on Friday was$1,619/tonne. But prices rallied sharply into the close to end at $1,655/tonne andhave started this week at a similar level.
