Cirque du Soleil and Mathematics at the Royal Albert Hall

The aim of the Icarus II project was to inspire the engineers oftomorrow and to encourage them to choose science, mathe-matics and engineering at school. The project involvedpupils (aged 9-12) from 14 schools, who watched the Cirque duSoleil show Varekai, researched materials, designed and pro-duced a model that they presented at the Royal Albert Hall.
