MBR understands that Saudi Aramco has now asked for a further extension on its decision to award long-term pipeline framework agreements to the end of December this year. The original deadline was the end of October. The official line that has come from the company, MBR understands, is that Aramco is still evaluations the bids submitted from all the pipe mills and it is difficult to compare so many different offers. However, some produces who have su bmitted tenders to Aramco for these framework agreements have explained that Aramco has not asked them for any clarification on their bids or to resubmit since they began the process which leads them to think that further extensions into 2015 are likely on the decision.
