BREATHE EASY, TRAVEL LIGHT - Everest made easier with BOC

BOC is ensuring that the first all-Australian team to attempt to climb Mount Everest will breathe easy, and travel light, by supplying them with innovative new oxygen systems. BOC developed the oxygen systems in consultation with leading anaesthetists and mountaineers. The new fibre-wrapped cylinders replace traditional aluminium and steel models, and are much lighter and less cumbersome.The unique and easy-to-identify BOC gas-flow systems reduce the risk of accidental loss of the oxygen cylinders on the mountain, as most other expeditions use a Russian designed system, called Poisk. The Australian expedition has the security of knowing they have enough high quality medical oxygen to complete their important task, but without the concern of their cylinders being mistakenly used or even 'borrowed' by other expeditions.
