Functional Materials Task Force to highlight UK's potential

The Higher Education Department of the Institute of Physics has recently set up a Functional Materials Task Force, chaired by Professor Graham Davies. The body has been charged with highlighting key technology areas in the field of functional materials that offer good potential, in which the UK should be doing more to strengthen its position.The task force will produce a report that will provide a list of key policy recommendations to influence support and funding in the areas identified to Government, industry and the Research Councils.
