摘要

In cupola systems complex thermodynamic processes take place. Both the control and optimum set-up of these processes have a significant influence on product quality, operating costs and emission. As a supporting tool for the testing and optimisation of existing cupola systems and for the start-up of new plants Kuttner has developed the iIM~R-CUPOLA software system, introduced in the present article and showing how this system visualises the complex correlations with the help of mathematical models. Important values are real-time collected from the process and serve as input data for calculation models together with design parameters. As results iIM~R -CUPOLA delivers characteristic key figures for the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the cupola process as a snapshot of the actual operating state. With this the Kuttner system offers an analysis tool that goes far beyond the capabilities of the standard control and monitoring systems of the plant. As far as planned operation changes or a retrofit of system components are concerned, it is possible to make a definite forecast with respect to possible effects that can be analysed ahead of time.
