The present work describes the analysis of microstrip lines and antennas conformed on cylindrical and quasi-cylindrical structures with the discrete mode matching method (DMM) System of equations, which can be derived by using full-wave equivalent circuits that represent the electromagnetic field, must be solved to determine the characteristics of conformal microstrip structures. Lateral boundary conditions have been introduced to limit the discretized computational domain. Problems involving radiation have been analyzed by employing absorbing boundaries In the DMM, the fields and currents are described by field expansions, where only the modes that satisfy the lateral conditions have to be considered. By analyzing different structures, the method has been validated against other techniques and good agreement between the results has been observed.
