The following inquiry has been taken from the Technical Questions and Answers e-mail archives. A member had a 4" jacketed reaction kettle repair question. A thru seal hose connection (h/c) had broken off. This break was close to the reactor body and was located 25 mm away from the large (4") ring seal. He was interested in feedback and comments as to the safest way to proceed with this project. Here are some of the solutions that were offered by other members.
