The image of children working under appalling conditions. Nobody wants to be associated with such practices. Companies would be able to 'keep their hands clean' through ethical sourcing practices. However ethical sourcing still has a long way to go. Child labour is just one of the aspects of ethical sourcing. In general, this term applies to the company's responsibility for the labour and human rights practices within its supply chain. This definition stems from ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative), an alliance consisting of companies (British retailers and manufacturers and international players operating in the UK), NGOs and trade unions.
