415 experimental projects are planned for the current year at the Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry Laimburg in South Tyrol. Josef Dalla Via, the director of the centre, explains that projects which have already started are continuing and new ones are now commencing. The "Storage" department of the Laimburg research centre is to apply new technologies. For example, a study is to be carried out in order to determine whether yield estimates could be made with the help of software for processing digital photographs in future. The method used all over the world for storing apples is the controlled atmosphere.
