On 5/15/08, FERC proposed in a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) (RM08-8) to clarify its regulations governing off-the-record (ex parte) contacts and separation of functions as they apply to proceedings arising out of investigations initiated under Part 1b of the Commission's regulations.
