ANR Pipeline’s Deferred Cost Adjustment Is Deferred Until Pending Year-Old Case Is Finally Disposed Of

On April 30 FERC rejected a primary proposal of ANR Pipeline Co. (RP14-650), submitted pursuant to the Deferred Transportation Cost Adjustment (DTCA) provisions of its tariff, to include certain unresolved contract costs that remain subject to the outcome of an ongoing rate proceeding in Docket No. RP13-743. The DTCA provisions requires ANR to make an annual filing to adjust its base transportation and storage rates by means of a surcharge if the actual Qualifying Transportation Costs incurred by ANR during a 12-month period ending on each April 30th vary by more than 10% from the Qualifying Transportation Costs included in its base rates.
