It's hard to beat the yuck factor of new technologies that produce cloned meat or meat grown in petri dishes,but researchers who have developed a means of using poultry manure for water filtration may have done so.In an article tided The Ultimate Trash to Treasure,it is reported that the Agricultural Research Service of the USDA has found a way to turn chicken and turkey waste into a "toxin-grabbing char" that will be able to purify water of many industrial and factory farming pollutants.Ironically,agriculture is one of the biggest polluters of U.S.waterways.
