The Scottish salmon industry has successfully overcome a number of biological challenges in recent years, by using different tools and strategies, including hydrogen peroxide treatments in full enclosure tarpaulins.Its significant investment in specialist equipment and associated training has supported the proactive fish health monitoring regimes undertaken by all companies, the results of which are coordinated to excellent effect by the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation (SSPO).
