The Making of Posch

Posch firewood equipment, as the logo testifies, is made in Leibnitz, which is situated in the south-west of Austria, near the border with Siovenia and not far from Hungary. In the middle of a heat wave, with the temperature nudging 37°C, we are hereto visit the factory, and see exactly how Posch equipment is made.Over 80% of Posch's production goes for export, and Germany accounts for half the factory's output. The remainder is exported throughout Europe, and some of it even further afield.Germany is treated as a home market, the same as Austria, where Posch deal direct with customers. Elsewhere they operate through independent dealerships. Jas P Wilson fulfils this role in the UK, and last year became Posch's biggest customer, having justovertaken the French dealer.
