摘要

Let me start by thanking each and every one of you who have worked in partnership along side of us on the Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC). Your assistance and input on key initiatives has been a great part of our success. I also want to thank everyone who has very generously contributed to the Forest Landowners Association's Political Action Committee (FLA-PAC). The GAC provides leadership for our lobbying efforts, but without your support, our effectiveness would be greatly diminished. We realize that the GAC is only able to do as much as the membership supports with their time, money, and other resources. After having our most successful year ever at the GAC and FLA-PAC, I thought it would be a good idea to take a moment and review where we have been, and then set our vision on where we are going from here. As we look forward to 2003 and the 108th Congress, we should consider why we do what we do, and why it is in our best interest to continue lobbying.
