On June 25, at least 69 people were ill with E. coli 0157:H7 across 29 states, according to the latest numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Thirty-four persons were hospitalized, and 64% of those who have become ill are less than 19 years old. In the latest numbers, Washington added a case and Hawaii and Missouri dropped cases when it was confirmed these people did not have the outbreak strain.
