Hong Kong/China: Cabot - black plastics masterbatch

Cabot Corp will close its black plastics masterbatch plant in Hong Kong at the end of March 2012. Customer requirements will be met from its 45,000 tonnes/y plant at Tianjin in northern China, which started-up in September 2011. This plant is wholly-owned by Cabot and it is on the same site as the 300,000 tonnes/y carbon black plant that is operated as a 70:30 joint venture between Cabot and Shanghai Coking Chemical.
