摘要

The study was undertaken to monitor changes in nutrient concentration of sugarcane crop as influenced by chip bud method of planting and rates and frequency of nitrogen application. Planting of 40 days old chip bud seedlings grown in poly bags proved to be effective by bringing about higher values of Leaf N, sheath P and K contents and found comparable with conventional method of planting. Both the methods were significantly superior to direct planting of chip buds. Higher doses of 281 kg/ha applied in four splits viz., basal, 30, 60 and 90 DAP accumulated more nitrogen in leaf and increased the sheath P and K content.
