Improving Efficiency and Reliability of Fertiliser Plants

Fertiliser Plants are highly capital and energy intensive. It is important that plants operate on continuous basis at high efficiency level to remain financially viable. Industry consists of aging plants since there has been no new plant commissioned in last 15 years. For continuous and reliable operation, health of plant and machinery needs to be in excellent condition. Therefore, modernization through revamp/replacement of equipments is necessary to improve reliability of plant operation or achieve higher operating efficiency. The industry has been making continuous investment in the plants and equipments to achieve highly reliable, safe and efficient operation. Plants have modernized not only by undertaking major revamps and change of feedstock to natural gas but also adopting even smaller measures and operational changes.
