摘要

Any overall examination of areas at risk of explosion should not overlook the potential danger of ignition due to radiation from transmitters, which may even be positioned outside the explosive zone. The paper examines this question solely in terms of protection from gas explosion, although the fundamental problem also affects areas that are at risk from dust explosion. Here it is also necessary to take account of the fact that local heatings can be generated due to the dielectric properties of the dust and the frequency levels of larger high-frequency outputs, including for example dipole resonances.
