Process-related Workshops/Technical Services of DSK

The Saar Workshops/Technical Servicesdivision within DSK is an indepdendent service providerorganisation offering a diverse range of mining andgeneral technical services. Products and services areutilised by collieries within the DSK and by outsidecustomers. A process-related QM system according to DINEN ISO 9001, for which the certificate was granted inJanuary 2000, was introduced within two years inparticular because of the considerable interest ofoutside customers in quality management (QM) andindependent certification. In anticipation of a newversion of the group of standards DIN EN ISO 9000 etseq and because of the better possibilities ofexplanation of the most diverse product and servicerequirements the standard was used along the valuecreation chains, i.e. it was process-related. Inaddition to the proof of conformity with the standardseveral internal improvements in the execution andadministration of orders were already achieved withintroduction of the QM system. On this basis it isintended to develop and refine the system in order toincrease efficiency and profitability and to maintainand improve its acceptance by external and internal customers.
