Belarus eyes $6-7 billion for sale of up to 25% stake in Belaruskali

BELARUS FIRST Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said this week the country’s government hopes to raise between $6-$7 billion from the sale of a minority stake in state- owned potash producer Belaruskali. According to the Minsk-based Belarusian news agency BelTA, Semashko indicated that Belarus would sell a “non-blocking” stake in the company, or less than a 25% shareholding.
