K+S secures ?1.55 billion for Morton Salt

GERMAN STANDARD and speciality fertilizer and salt producer K+S Aktiengesellschaft said this week it had signed a ?1.55 billion ($2.21 billion) syndicated term loan and revolving credit facilities on May 18. The company will use the loan and credit facilities to finance its $1.675 billion acquisition of Morton International, Inc. (Morton Salt) and for general corporate purposes.
