Freight Rates remain at low levels

OVER THE past two weeks, the dry bulk freight market remained at historically low levels. Led by the Panamax market, the Baltic Exchange Dry Index continued to move downwards, falling by 13% from two weeks ago to stand at 733 points at time of writing, only 179 points above its historical low of 554 points in August 1986.
