Deepak progresses South Australian IGAN plant

DEEPAK FERTILISERS and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL), a leading manufacturer of industrial grade ammonium nitrate (IGAN) in India, this week said it is working towards setting up a new 300,000 mt/year capacity IGAN plant in the state of South Australia. In March last year, the company entered into a non- binding commercial negotiation with South Australia's Australian Explosive Technologies Group Pty. Ltd. (AET Group), which undertook pre-feasibility studies for the project (FW Online, March 12, 2010). CFI Holding Pty Ltd. acted as the lead of the overall studies. These studies were for an integrated gas-based ammonia, nitric acid and IGAN complex.
