Designing for Function Plattsburg Fire Protection District covers all its bases

Like most fire departments around the country, the Plattsburg (MO) Fire Protection District (PFPD) has certain demographics that make up its response district and also has certain needs when it comes to designing a vehicle to accomplish all of its firefighting operating procedures. To begin with, the response district it serves is 112 square miles, predominantly rural. There is a hydranted area in town, but the remainder of the area is rural and requires the department to bring water to the fire by water shuttle.
