Higher ratings not only correlate to better taste, but often to improved shelf life and disease and pest resistance When we buy tomatoes, there are many complex factors working in our mind. Colour, size and smell are the first three things that draw our attention to tomatoes. Some people will read the sticker and would prefer to buy locally grown tomatoes. Then comes the taste factor. Taste is a very personal choice, which people make based on their past experience.
