While over in Northern Ireland judging the Balleymena Show, there were two things I had to do if possible: one, see the Giant's Causeway, and two, visit Austin Shaw and see his Poultry. The overwhelming impression as we flew back to England was of a tremendous 'family likeness' in his Old English Game Bantams - the like of which reminded me of the same excellent family likeness I had seen for myself and previously in a poultry book of Will Burdett MBE from North Yorkshire.
