A U.S. grand jury in Lubbock, Texas, returned a 79-count indictment August 9 charging Absolute Fuels owner Jeffrey David Gunselman with wire fraud, money laundering and false statements in a scheme allegedly involving biodiesel renewable identification number (RIN) credits. According to the U.S. Attorney in Lubbock, Gunselman, if convicted, would have to forfeit approximately US$42 million, real estate, automobiles, jewelry, an airplane and “other miscellaneous property traceable to his convicted offenses.”
