Indian Government Drops Proposed Surtax on Diesel Cars; Mulls Fuel-Price Decontrol

But the government continues to mull proposals on deregulating diesel fuel prices. According to a March 18 report from Financial Express (India), India’s finance minister Pranab Mukherjee “indicated that the government is firm on early deregulation of diesel prices.”
