The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) will better leverage the expertise and resources of both agencies to enhance national energy security and "speed"America's transition to a clean-energy economy, according to a March 2 joint statement by the two departments. Ray Mabus, U.S. Secretary of the Navy, announced the new steps between the departments to strengthen national security through the continued development of advanced clean energy technologies.
