ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF SMART ELECTRIC HOME APPLIANCES USING SECURITY-ENHANCED RESIDENTIAL GATEWAY DEVICE

The present invention relates to an energy management system for smart home appliances using a residential gateway device with enhanced security. The energy management system includes: one or more smart home appliances which are installed in a household and consume energy; a residential gateway device which is connected to each of the smart home appliances in a wired or wireless manner, obtains unique device identification information with the energy consumption data from each of the smart home appliances, and encrypts received information, and transmits a decryption key for decrypting the unique device identification information with the energy consumption data of each of the smart home appliances encrypted in advance; and an energy management server which receives the decryption key and the encrypted unique device identification information and energy consumption data of each of the smart home appliances from the residential gateway device, decrypts the corresponding encrypted unique device identification information and energy consumption data of each of the smart home appliances based on the decryption key, stores and manages the energy consumption information of each of the smart home appliances in a database based on the decrypted unique device identification information and energy consumption data of each of the smart home appliances, and displays the power quality information of each of the smart home appliances on a display screen to let a manager monitor the power quality information of each of the smart home appliances on a real-time basis. The energy management system can store and manage the energy consumption information of the smart home appliances installed in the household in a database and enables managers on the outside to monitor the power quality information for each smart home appliance on a real-time basis.
