U.K. Alt-Fuel Vehicle Sales Drop, but EVs Seen as 'Future'

Alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) sales in the United Kingdom dropped 6.5% in February 2011 compared with the prior month, according to a March 7 report from MotorTorque (U.K.). "Only 635 AFVs were sold last month, making up just 1% of all new car registrations in the U.K. and nearly 50% less than the same period last year,"according to the report, citing latest figures from the Society of Motoring Manufacturers and Traders.
