Chevrolet Touts 46 Miles/Gallon U.S. EPA Fuel Economy Rating for Diesel ‘Cruze’

Chevrolet announced April 18 that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has certified the diesel version of its “Cruze” passenger car at 46 miles per gallon (mpg) on the highway. The fuel economy rating for the diesel Cruze “is better than any non-hybrid passenger car in [North] America,” according to Chevrolet. The car will be available in “certain” U.S. cities this spring, then will be offered across the U.S. and in Canada in early fall 2013, according to the company.
