Marion Brown has been comprehensively documenting her work for the last several decades, both for finished pieces and the steps it takes to create them. The thought of assembling these illustrations along with her own personal commentary into a publishable journal, eventually led to publishing the e-book series "Masterworks: Images In Glass." Why an electronic book? We believed that there is a younger, technology-oriented generation of artists who would readily have access to that medium, on their computers or their tablets! Reports show that sales of Apple's iPad have passed 170 million worldwide, and the competition from other tablet manufacturers is growing rapidly. Besides, the anticipated cost and promotional effort required to get a publisher to print a real paper art book, seemed like too much of a challenge at this time.
