A polymerase chain reaction-based screening method for transgenic Arabidopsis.

摘要

A simple and rapid PCR-based method for screening transformed Arabidopsis thaliana plants was developed. Based on the quantity of chlorophyll present in a protoplast suspension, the optimal amount of template is calculated, from which a fragment ofthe transgene can be amplified. This method only needs a single, young A. thaliana leaf, leaving primary transformants mostly intact.
