Statoil and Litgas eye small-scale LNG partnership

Lithuanian grid operator Litgas and Statoil are mulling the creation of a small-scale LNG supply and bunkering business at Klaipedia terminal and hope to reach an agreement by the end of Q2, Litgas said late last week. Klaipeda is the only terminal in the Baltic Sea capable of refuelling ferries and other smaller LNG-fuelled vessels, as well as supplying smaller volumes of gas to industrial customers, Litgas CEO Dominykas Tuckus said.
