Litgas seeks to divert Statoil LNG

Lithuanian state-controlled gas com- pany Litgas is seeking to divert LNG cargoes under its deal with Norway’s state-controlled Statoil because of declin- ing domestic gas consumption. The Lithuanian government has presented proposals to parliament that contain pro- visions to allow cargoes bought from Statoil to be diverted before they reach the 2.9mn t/yr Klaipeda floating storage and regasification unit, Litgas says.
