Port of Antwerp offers 30% discount to LNG-fuelled vessels

Antwerp is offering a discount of up to 30% on port dues to ships that use LNG as bunker fuel, as part of an effort to reduce emissions and particulates in the city, the port said this week. As of June 1, Antwerp is to offer a discount of 20% on LNG-fuelled vessels, which can then be topped up with a further cut of up to 10% granted under the existing Environmental Ship Index (ESI) scheme.
