After months of delays over Israel’s uncertain gas export tax policy, Woodside has suspended the signing of a definitive agreement that was due to take place on 27 March in a last minute U-turn. After finalising a memorandum of understanding for Israel’s Leviathan field in January, the Australian major had announced that the fully termed agreement with the U.S. Israeli consortium - Noble Energy Mediterranean, Delek Drilling, Avner Oil Exploration and Ratio Oil Exploration – was going to be signed on 27 March 2014.
