Jerusalem-An agreement by Australia's Woodside Petroleum to join the consortium developing Israel's huge Leviathan gas field could be on the verge of falling apart due to unresolved tax issues with government, according to an Israeli newspaper report. Woodside agreed in February to a $2.7 bil- lion deal with the Leviathan partners-Noble Energy Inc, Delek Drilling, Avner Oil and Gas and Ratio Oil Exploration-to purchase a 25% stake in the giant offshore gas field.
