CNPC completes second west-east gas pipeline

China’s state-owned CNPC has completed construction of the country’s second west-east natural gas pipeline which is slated to start operations at the end of June. The 30 Bcm/year pipeline stretches over a total distance of 8,653 km running from Khorgos in China's Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region to Hong Kong, crossing fifteen regions within the country.
