Singapore—Chinese state-owned ChinaNational Petroleum Corporation expects tostart construction on the country’s third West-East natural gas pipeline this year, an officialwith the company said April 19.The pipeline will start in Xinjiang provinceon the border with Kazakhstan and reachcoastal Zhejiang province in the northeast, XuBo, senior economist at the Economics andTechnology Research Institute at CNPC said onthe sidelines of a gas conference in Beijing.
