摘要

This research, based on a previous study of fatigue tests using cyclic bending, proposes an analysis of the stress concentrations around blind holes of different depths in specimens placed under cyclic tensile-compressive loading. The stress state around the discontinuity created by a blind hole in a plate of constant thickness is three-dimensional in form since the plane discontinuity created by the hole combines with the discontinuity at the bottom of the hole itself. The zone of stress concentration produced by the combined effects is extremely complex and difficult to define experimentally or theoretically.
