Persistence of resolution clips on colorectal polypectomy sites.

The value of hemoclips to prevent postpolypectomy hemorrhage is uncertain. A randomized controlled trial found no benefit, but the mean polyp size was 7.8 mm, and the risk of bleeding in the control group was Sow. In a series of 21 patients who underwent snare polypectomy of polyps < 1 cm in size while on therapeutic anticoagula-tion, followed by placement of 1 to 2 hemoclips, there was no postpolypectomy bleeding.
