This paper is an attempt to look at the landscape at West Wy-combe Park, Buckinghamshire, in its entirety and to demonstrate the way in which the built features both carry associations and relate to and interact with each other. The paper will providenot only an understanding of a major garden of the eighteenth century, but also an insight into the imagination of its remarkable creator.
