The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) Parsippany, N.J., awarded the Leonard Parker Pool Safety Award to Matheson Tri-Gas. Bill Kroll, chairman and CEO, and Bonnie Stanage, director of safety and compliance, represented the Matheson team and accepted the award at CGA's annual meeting, held in March. The awards are presented annually to the three CGA member companies that have recorded the greatest improvement in safety performance during the previous two yr. This is based upon total recordable case-incidence rates as defined by OSHA. There are three divisions of the award, depending on employee-exposure hours. Matheson received the award for Group 2 - over 1.5 and less than 5 million employee-exposure hours.
